Restylane is composed of synthetic hyaluronic acid, which adds volume when injected to minimize wrinkles and add volume. Hyaluronic acid exists naturally in all living organisms and is a natural component of our connective tissues, including our skin. Results from the Restylane injection are immediate and last up to a year, with essentially no down time. A little swelling may be present for a day or two, and the enhancement retains volume over the course of time, staying soft and natural.
